Alaris Aviation (meaning “to take flight” in Latin) was created by Kara October 2001 with a credit card, incredible passion and... a wing and a prayer. Through her leadership, Alaris Aviation is changing the way people buy and sell aircraft. Kara was the first to innovate online logbooks that allow buyers to accurately assess an aircraft prior to purchase and before committing time and energy to view the plane in person. A uniquely low overhead structure means that Alaris Aviation can charge a competitive service fee and still offer a high level of personal service, creating camaraderie with her clients which leads to a highly respected reputation, referrals and return business. Kara is the daughter of a VF-11 USN F-4 Phantom Pilot and a USN Nurse, and has a degree in Aeronautical Technology from Arizona State University. Kara believes in a balance between professional and personal lives. She is an accomplished dancer, enjoys horseback riding and rowing and is most often accompanied by her two yellow labs.

Kara hired trusted friend, Brian Mackin, from the financial services industry, in January 2005. Both Brian and Kara are actively involved in each sale and acquisition and work expertly together as a team. Kara recognized and admired his qualities of responsiveness, sincerity and high moral character. Since his hire, Brian has purchased a Cirrus SR22 with Kara, earned his Private Pilot License and is actively working on his IFR Rating. He has a Marketing degree from the University of Arizona. Brian, along with his wife, has a little boy and girl, whom Kara adores, that are most definitely future pilots. As a talented swimmer and water skier, he and his family enjoy spending time together on the water and in the air.
